School Talks

One of our goals within ACS is to inspire students to pursue STEM degrees and roles in the future, especially students from underrepresented backgrounds. We organise a series of talks where student speakers come in to share their academic journey and university experiences before opening the floor to an interactive Q&A session. The workshops are targeted towards Year 10 - 12 students but we are happy to tailor them to other years as well.

ACS Robotics Academy

Imperial College Robotics Academy is another outreach initiative that we run which aims to increase student participation in engineering, science and technology through fun and free workshops. We have activities for all age ranges whether that be primary or secondary school students, and we look to engage with students from underrepresented backgrounds. Supported by our volunteers, students will be able to build their own LEGO robots, then learn how to code them using LEGO Mindstorms NXT software in an accessible but challenging manner.
